  • Dry needling is an effective physical therapy treatment used to relieve muscle pain, reduce tension, and improve movement. A licensed physical therapist uses a thin, sterile needle to target muscle trigger points that cause pain and restricted motion. This evidence-based technique helps release tight muscles, increase blood flow, and restore normal function.

Dry needling causes a twitch or maximal contraction in the muscle. This feels like a cramp. It is short lived (20-30 secs) and most people describe it as uncomfortable but tolerable.
